  • Who is your favorite superhero, and why do you like them?

Super Hero? More like who's my favorite Comic book Hero? I would like to write about a favorite comic book hero of mine, as I do feel it is much formal to write it that way. That character would be none other than Batman:The Dark Knight.

#1 on my list of favorite comic book characters/heroes, is Batman. He is not a "Superhero" at all, since the word 'Super' added to the word 'hero' was just another attribute to the description of other comic book protagonists since Superman became one of the very first costumed comic book heroes/protagonists to emerge out of the US and it set a somewhat misguided standard for the rest of other comic book heroes with their own titles, while not taking into account some crime fighters who don't have any superpowers at all.

However, Batman is a hero regardless of having no super powers or mutation that defies the laws of physics and reality in order to defend the innocent and battle the corrupt, evil and wicked that plague society, especially in his foreboding city : Gotham City. He is just a mortal, but has developed the courage, the intellect, the physical peak of strength and agility along with having the heart of a hero. That's a lot of hard work to go through in order to do something that is very selfless(Justice for all), though inspired at first(his origin) by selfish means(vengeance). That would be to fight against all crime and injustices, especially the type that took away the ones he loved and cherished so much in his life. He's also my favorite comic book hero because no matter how good he is, he is usually cloaked under the guise of darkness, something terrifying(creature of the night, bat motif) and also uses that in a psychological way to thwart criminals. That adds a lot to the character and shows how conflicted and tormented he can be, and it's just really f***ing cool. It is even debated that he is only a mad vigilante(albeit one that does not resort to murder and is very level headed, actually).

Yet, no matter how much of an outlaw he is, how questionable some of his tactics/methods are, how ghastly and sinister he appears, the Batman has demonstrated that he is willing to risk his life on the line for all the innocent and he believes in the greater, common good for all. He truly has some of the greatest stories ever written into his comic book stories and other forms of entertainment. The good out weighs the embarrassing bad(campy 60's Batman, for example).

Batman has been another great example for me growing up, by being the embodiment that no matter what terrible tragedies or moments occur in your life that can easily hinder you, only you can take a step back and with all your might and self determination, you can make things better in your life through hard work and make the wrong things right.

Thank you to Bill Finger and Bob Kane for having created The Bat-Man.

  • Da_Vinci is a cowardly assho...er I mean fool.

I'm just writing this entry because I wanted to share on here something that's bothering me for about a week. I don't  really cause trouble on xanga, but I guess by me being a little more active on xanga since late 2010 to now, I've probably rubbed some users the wrong way with my stance on things. But I've never once called anyone on here that I had a disagreement with any vulgar insults to the point of looking like a troll of some sort. Now, this user who added me nearly a year ago, named Da__Vinci, is the one who I'm mostly basing this entry on. He was just being a total a-hole to me for no reason at all, I did nothing to him. Not that I know of. But my anger isn't totally directed to him, but in general to other people who act so stupid in this cowardly manner. I do hope that this also brings awareness to other users on here of how Two-Faced and twisted Da__Vinci can be.

About a week ago, I saw on my homepage that Da__Vinci, a user who added me on xanga and I subscribed to, had called me an Ass, even though he wanted to call me a fool, as you'll see on the picture. I hope the pic's is clear enough to see. Before this, I was subscribed to Da__Vinci, I liked what he wrote about, he seemed like a cool person who I agreed with mostly on a lot of issues. I remember his mom passed away a couple months ago, he wrote about it and I sent him my condolences and deepest respects even though we only barely know each other just by an internet site. I like to recommend things that I like on xanga, since it's a feature available and just by this insult that he pulsed about me. Incase, the picture isn't clear to read, his pulse read "CastigadoR is a recing ass...er, I mean fool." So I guess he has a problem with what I recommend on xanga and he probably knows who and where I recommend to. So basically, I'm an "ass" for "recing"(recommending) on xanga. This sort of nonsense never ceases to amaze me. It deserves a "wow...." So this is how I get repaid for being a subscriber and commenting positive things on this user's entries? Wow....

It's ridiculous also, because I tried to get to the bottom of this and asked Da__Vinci on his own pulse where he insulted me why he's talking sh!t about me. The ridiculous part is, he never responded to me at all and I was given no reason for this. I don't know about the rest of you, but I like getting answers to something and getting a sense of closure and won't dismiss something like this so easily. I kept going on other entries he posted and asked him about it because I tried private messaging and on his profile, it was blocked. He doesn't allow private messaging at all. I put up another picture to show you all that I was trying to get some answers for this heinous, cowardly juvenile act.

I've been through this situation before, where someone hates me and insults me but yet, there's no substantial reason for it because I did nothing harmful to that person at all. I understand if there's something to hate me about, whether it's due to my skin color, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, religious affiliation, class status or my regular appearance, but this random act of hatred really angers me a whole lot more than dislike/hatred with a reason behind it.

So I wonder, whoever is out there reading this, have you also been through something like this while on xanga as perhaps you may have gone through it in your own personal lives, or could this be history in the making for xanga?

  • Which charity, social cause or awareness campaign is closest to your heart? Why?

Charities to finding a cure for all forms of cancer have been very close to my heart, out of all the other charities. I have always sympathized with cancer patients and victims, since from a young age. I don't know how else to explain it, but ever since I was little, once I knew and understood what cancer was and the terrifying legacy it has brought to our world, it became a highly important issue that concerned me deeply. I always told my parents we should donate and when I got a older, had a job, I definitely made sure to make donations to such charities. Unfortunately, my mother not too long ago became a victim of cancer and now, more than ever, charities dedicated to cancer research have become the closest to my heart and I have a very personal anger directed towards all cancers/tumors.

  • What things happened in your life that truly took your breath away? That make you smile...

I would just say off the top of my head that what truly took my breath away and made me smile, happened around the Summer of 2010. It was a couple of days after I returned from my cool vacation roadtrip to Montreal(that was also quite breathtaking too). This cute stray cat appeared on my backyard recently, my dad first saw the cat as he was out there looking at something. This cat just rubbed its head on his leg earlier in the day and he told me about it, when we were eating dinner.

Later on, what happened was that the cat peeked into the windows of my kitchen(without me realizing, yet) when I was eating dinner and I asked my dad "How did it look? What color was it?". He quickly responded by pointing at the window, "Just like that." I give him a weird look and turned to look at the window. Whoah! I was shocked to see that the cat he saw was right on our window, looking at us and it meowed at me. We've always had stray cats roaming around our neighborhood. But then we realized this is no ordinary stray cat. Plus, this tabby cat looks so amazing, I haven't seen a cat this cool looking.

We decided to feed her(figured out a few days later it was a girl) daily and eventually adopted her. I've always wanted a pet and am a fan of animals and nature. We never could afford one, and we were having mice problems increasing, so luckily this one found her way to us. We also found out from one of our neighbors that she was abandoned by her previous owners who lived nearby. They moved and left her behind, for whatever reason. I felt more sad, but in the end, as long as she was under our watch and care, I'd become a much happier, calm person and whenever I was feeling bad about something(like being unemployed, rejected on interviews, getting over my ex) all I had to do was look at her and pet her and I would feel at peace and full of happiness.

About Me

  • I'm an aspiring movie director. I wanna make my stories come to life, shown as feature length to the mainstream and I want as many people as I can get to watch them. I have a strong feeling that my movies will be critically acclaimed and generally admired by all who view them. This is my only purpose in life, nothing else. Without this, I am nothing.
